EMPP Secures Victory for a Foreign Commodity Trader in an ICAC Arbitration.

EMPP Litigation and Arbitration Practice won a significant ICAC arbitration for a multinational commodity trading company against a leading Russian shipping company. The dispute arose from an international freight forwarding contract and related to the counterparty’s performance of services in Russia and neighboring countries as well as alleged failure by the client to pay for these services. The arbitration panel dismissed all claims against the client and awarded major part of its arbitration costs.
